This is Ruben, from Bar Stop Madrid!
Greeetings from Luc and Adri, who are now in Hervas!

We arrived in Madrid last Thursday. I must say Madrid is not my favorite town in Spain, to me it doesn´t have much identity, I prefer Barcelona, Sevilla or Valencia. But I do like Chueca, the gay district of Madrid. It´s not very big, but it certainly has charm! In the middle of the quarter there is a great bar,which we frequent every time we are in town: Stop Madrid. In this bodega they have great food, cheeses, choriso and other tapas from all districts in Spain, and they have good wine and vermouth too.
Already two years ago we met Ruben, one of the nice waiters of the bar. Since then we meet up with him every time we are in Madrid. Ruben is studying fashion design, and currently designing his first collection of sun glasses!

On friday we moved to Hervas, Extremadura. We have been here before,last year. This time we decided to go back for a week, because I still have to compose the music for a project in the fall, with co-composer Guy Harries, and Iranian/Dutch writer Kader Abdolah. We thought Hervas would be a good place to work. It is!
Hervas is a cute little town in the north of Extremadura. Certainly good for working!
The town has a nice old Jewish quarter too. It used to be a kind of hiding place during the Inquisition.
Also there are quite a few good restaurants,and as you all know: Adri and I love good food...;-)

Tomorrow we are heading off to Las Hurdes, the remote area in the nw of Extremadura. It is a poor, but yet nice part of the country, well known because of Luis Bunuel´s famous movie.

We are looking forward to go there!
